Job Summary:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across various social media platforms to build and maintain a strong online presence for the brand. The role involves strategy development, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analysis to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s goals and target audience.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and set measurable objectives for social media campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activities to refine social media strategy.
2. Content Creation and Curation
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content (including text, images, videos, infographics, etc.) for various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
- Work with the design and content teams to ensure all social media content is on-brand, visually appealing, and optimized for each platform.
- Curate user-generated content, brand mentions, and relevant industry news to share with the community.
3. Community Engagement and Brand Voice
- Engage with followers, respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster relationships and enhance community engagement.
- Monitor social media conversations and sentiment to maintain a positive brand image.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms, adhering to the brand voice.
4. Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and monitor paid and organic social media campaigns to promote products, services, and brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, customer service) to create cross-functional campaigns that align with company objectives.
- Utilize social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) to schedule and track posts and campaigns.
5. Analytics and Reporting
- Analyze performance metrics (engagement rates, reach, clicks, conversions) to evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts.
- Prepare regular reports on social media performance, presenting insights and actionable recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
- Use insights to continuously improve strategies and enhance ROI on social media investments.
6. Influencer and Partnership Management
- Identify and collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and external partners to increase brand visibility and reach.
- Negotiate partnerships and campaigns that align with the brand’s values and target market.
7. Crisis Management and Reputation Monitoring
- Monitor online conversations for potential issues or negative sentiment and address them in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies if necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Social Media Marketing (e.g., Hootsuite, HubSpot, or Google Analytics) is a plus.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Proven track record of creating successful social media campaigns across various platforms.
- Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and their advertising tools.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
- Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
